Hobbits and Topics

Two new things.  Number 1 - we have a new topic.  The Andes!
Number 2 - Unfortunately AJ has become a tad tired of her matador costume and wanted something new.  She was relentless.  So, in order to satisfy those adorable big button eyes she's been giving me, I give you . . . .
 AJ Baggins
Just a basic front view (I have a found a love for making clothes with felt, even if it doesn't enjoy being turned inside out.)
Keep it secret, keep it safe.
Hobbits and their fancy clothing.  Fun to make, but seemingly unnecessary.
What every good hobbit needs while traveling to Mordor: Pots and pans (and of course things to cook in them such as mushrooms and 'taters)
A good walking stick, a nice pipe, and a sturdy satchel to carry it all in.
A comfy bedroll,
Elvish rope, and, of course, a nice shiny dagger for protection, such as Sting.
Good packing skills are a must when one must travel through Middle Earth.
Elvish cloaks are very convenient, extremely warm and can render the wearer practically invisible.  If ever you're in Lothlorien pick one up from the gift shop, but be careful with the lembas bread.
For your viewing pleasure . . . .

AJ wishes you all a very happy February and says to watch out for Wraiths on Wings.

AJ the Matador

Megan and I had this crazy idea of making dolls of ourselves for each other so we could "keep each other company" throughout the long hours of the day.  I was quite excited and finished my doll in three days.  It's a bit rough and as many people have said 'voo-doo-esque', but I like it, even with it's strange, two-colored eyes and really bizarre hair.  We're calling it AJ (Amanda Junior).  Well, then I thought, hmmmm, I haven't done anything about our current topic yet - Bullfighting.  Ding! Ding! Ding!  I'll make the doll a matador costume.  So here is my little-researched project on Bullfighting.  I designed the outfit based on the picture here: http://www.ranchocalypso.com/blog7/Matador2sm.JPG
Ole! (or however that's spelled)
*note: that is not AJ's hair, it's a matador hat

 AJ fighting the bull.
 Rawr!
 See, it's just a hat.

 um . . . ?
Toro!

By the way, Megan and I would like to apologize for neglecting our duties in blogging.  We have discovered that we aren't too good on due dates. . . . and working.
